Hello, my name is Caden Zips, I’m from Tyler, Texas, and I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin in 2024. I’ve been an artist for basically all of my life, and I specialize in illustration. In my time at UT, I was an illustrator and writer for the Texas Travesty, creating one-off comics such as TINTIN 2099 and Death’s Day Off. I was an artist in practice in the Texas Visual Arts Collective, creating work with my fellow students and donating the proceeds to nonprofits and charities. In 2023, I completed the first chapter of my comic, Monitor, and have since been working on the second chapter, with plans to continue it into a series. Besides traditional drawing, I have expansive history in printmaking, animation, painting, performance art, and video art. I hope to pursue illustration through animation, comic art, and storyboarding in the future, and in the meanwhile, I’m writing and performing for Fallout Theater’s “Noodle Creek Town Hall”, every last Thursday of the month at 10 PM!
